I bought this air conditioner because of the heat pump feature as I suspect many people would. The unit draws about 1300 Watts when the heater first cuts on due to the heating power strip coming on 1st after about a minute the heat pump will engage and the wattage will fluctuate between 600 and 900. The heat with the heat pump working is great.Tonight it got down to 31 degrees and I noticed that the heat pump was not engaging, only the coil and it was around 1300 Watts. The unit was blowing slightly warm but it's not what I would consider adequate heat by any means.I realize that a heat pump loses efficiency when the temperature drops but to have the heat pump not engage in temperatures say below 40, which I assume is the cutoff is disappointing. Perhaps they have engineered it that way so it doesn't freeze up but they could have used a feature to dethaw if that was the case such as it is engineered into some large dehumidifiers. I suspect the cost involved to do so would not be much more however it would certainly increase the usability and value of the product.Other than that particular feature the unit is great, so if you live in a climate where the temperature is mild this unit works exceptional.

I'm completely disappointed in this units "heating" functionality. It's a complete waste of time and money! My LASKO small portable heater is doing 100000% better than this piece of junk! Disgusted and ticked off!

This air conditioner with heat is extremely useful and well designed. The cooling is effective, and the multitude of functions and settings allows for accurate climate control. It doesn™™t place a harsh demand on the power supply, either. I™™m very pleased.

The unit won™™t blow cold air. We have been told we™™d be notified by a technician but that was about a month ago. We™™ve had to purchase another unit in the meantime. Not sure anyone is coming to fix it and they won™™t take it back.

We purchased this to replace an Emmerson Quiet Kool due to a faulty thermostat. The Frigidaire 11,000 BTU window unit far exceeds our expectations. The first thing we noticed was our electric bill went down. Totally unexpected. Second, it cools wonderfully. We have not used the heating side of the unit but will put it to good use in a couple of months.

We bought this window unit when our whole home AC went out! It works great! We finally slept good. Now we use it everyday because our room is cooler with it running daily. It's not super quiet, but you know it's on and working. Would definitely purchase another one If this one went out in a few years.

I needed a unit to help keep my mobile home cool in this Louisiana heat. My central air would not stop running during the day and I was looking for ways to cool and save electricity costs. Bought this unit for a three car garage knowing I was maxing out the capabilities. I insulated my garage doors and added insulation to attic above garage first. If I close everything off and start the AC in early morning i.e when mid 70's outside it can maintain between 75 and 79 in garage when temps outside get above 95 degrees...in Texas. It's not perfect but much more enjoyable working in garage at 78 degrees as opposed to 95 plus. I liked the fact that this unit was window slash through wall as i wanted to remove my existing window and frame around the AC unit. I had to reframe once because the first time I used 2x6's and that with the addition of my exterior siding made overall width too long. That's what I would add to instructions... 1. keep in mind thickness of exterior material so as not to block venting and 2. there are notches in the sides of the frame that make it impossible to fit into the size of the frame they are calling for in the manual. I ended up first making the frame larger than called for but upon my second framing, I used a needle nosed plier to bend these tabs in so it would fit correctly. I believe these tabs are used for window installation and not for through wall. I'm pleased with the unit so far but will see how long it lasts with the harsh garage/woodworking environment. I cleaned the filters after just 5 days of operation, they were dirty due to all the saw dust....expected. I let it run for 12 hours straight when I'm in the garage all day and as title says...it does what I was hoping it would do. Can't get to 72 degrees but that wasn't the expectation.

Very disappointed in this unit. Bought for heating but was not told it does not heat when it gets cold outside. I spent $700. For a unit that only works when the temperature outside is 50 degrees and higher. VERY dissatisfied & cold

The overall quality of the unit is good. I haven™™t needed to use the air conditioning feature yet as it is February and cold. I was quite disappointed with the ™supplemental heat™ feature as the unit provides no warm air if the outside temperature is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I should have done more research on the ™supplemental heat™ feature before purchasing as this is quite disappointing. What good is the heat feature if it has to be warm enough outside before it works? Instead of using a heat pump type method for supplying heat, maybe a simple heat strip in the unit would work better to provide heat no matter the outside temperature.

The supplemental heat does not well work if the temperature outside is below 32 degrees. If you set the thermostat to 80 the air coming out is 70. Very disappointed.

The Heat pump doesn't come on when you need it the most, why even have it? I bought exclusively for the heat option and it blows cold air when i need it to heat, what a waste on money! Id like to return this for something that can do the job

I love my new window AC with Supplemental Heat. It works great, just as it was advertised to do. I especially love the supplemental heat. It keeps my living room, kitchen, and dining area warm and cozy on these cold fall days. However the thermostat is a little off and must be set to a higher setting than normal. For example, in order to keep the room temperature at about 73 degrees, you must set the thermostat on the supplemental heat unit to about 80 degrees. Other than that, this is a great product.

When I set this up it was 60 degrees and the heat pump feature was amazing. At 40 degrees, the heat pump does not kick on and it only poorly heats with the heating strip. The entire point of buying this unit was for the heat pump feature, which does not work if it is chilly out (not even cold, but chilly). I'm not sure if this is a defect or by design, but look elsewhere if you are looking for useable heat.

This window unit is great. We have 2 large tvs and 2 xbox series x consoles in one room and it's like having 4 space heaters in a small space. The window unit dramatically knocks the temps down. It moves a lot of air too. We tested the heat and it seemed to do very well which we'll need this winter. I added a lot of insulation around it since it's mostly a permanent appliance. I do wish it was a bit quieter, but sound was at the bottom of our checklist. Is it light? No. It's heavy and is best to have 2 strong people for safety. Is it quiet? No. Not crazy loud though, we sleep with it on no problem and can easily talk, play games and watch TV, but it's noticeable, especially using eco mode where it goes on and off. Is it easy to install? Yes. The slide in chassis makes a big difference, it wasn't a cake walk but it's the easiest window unit I've ever installed(6 or 7 under my belt). Does it cool and heat? Yes. Remarkably well, we love it. I don't know yet the impact on our power bill, I'm guessing not too much using eco mode. We have an older house and we have had no issues with power draw, no flickering lights or other weirdness when it kicks on like space heaters cause. That tells me it's going easy on the power consumption, at least in our case.

This unit was really easy to install and the instructions for use were very easy to understand. We got this unit right as a heatwave had hit, and this cooled our entire downstairs area - almost too cold at times! We love the dry feature too as we live in an area that can get heavy humidity. The unit itself is pretty loud so we have it in a lesser trafficked portion of the house, but otherwise we are very happy with the unit!

Installed our unit right before a big heat wave, it it has been super helpful for keeping our main floor of the house cool! I'm also a huge fan of how sleek the design is from the inside, and how it doesn't stick out far from the window itself. We've only been using the cool function (it's hot out!), but did try the heat function real quick and would say it seems to operate like a space heater. While it's definitely a great unit, it wasn't the easiest for us to install since the directions advised us to take the unit apart to install the "sleeve" for the unit first, and then slide the actual AC part back in. I don't know if that was really needed or not? Because we ended up just mounting the whole thing at once and that worked just fine. That's the only reason why I gave it a 4 star rating.

As a new home owner I struggled with what kind of air conditioner I should buy. Well, summer approached very quickly and it got humid fast! This air conditioner arrived at the perfect time! It was super easy to install (don™™t mind the blue tape, it is temporary as we need to get more) we use the air conditioner constantly and it cools down the whole top floor of our home! I couldn™™t be more happy with this product and I recommend it to anyone in need!

This unit is prefect for small spaces. Easy installation, less then 30 mins. Provides effortless cooling in no time. One con is that it does have a loud fan system, nothing you can™™t get over on a hot day! I would definitely recommend this product if your in the market for a window unit.

I™™ve been using the unit for a month with some nights getting cold enough to utilize the heat function. My thoughts so far: the installation process looks scary on paper. Just start going through the motions then you realize it™™s easy. It gets super cold and if you have to run it on high it gets loud, but that air is moving. The heat is ™supplemental,™ don™™t expect it to blast hot air. It works like a space heater. If it gets sub freezing you will most likely need a back up heat. In moderate cold temps it works great! You will need to cut the temperature down before you know it. I have a creek behind my house so I love the dry function. Unlike the ™cold™ function it consistently runs the dehumidifier even when it reaches temp. I have a creek behind my house so this is the best setting for me. It keeps my living room comfortable, without the mucky humid feeling or slight odors that come with it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the price. This day and age, delivering a new product at that price with just supplemental heat without it having ™smart™ options, being app controlled or connected to the WiFi, I believe it™™s over priced. Should have went smart or full heat. Without going all in on one or the other I feel it™™s lacking. I believe this unit should have came standard with the smart functions as adding full heat may cause different electrical specs. I am happy this unit works with a standard plug.
