After having the heat pump water heater installed, I have not noticed a jump in my electricity cost after converting from a gas water heater. It™€™s extremely quiet and I like that. I have the ability to control it remotely.

The GE Profile PF50S10FPY is a phenomenal, top-of-the-line water heater. It checks all the features I wanted when I was water heater shopping, and is probably the most advanced water heater in the market right now. What I liked most is: 1. 120V out of the box with a simple conversion to 240. 2. High efficiency heat pump with inverter - this is ridiculously silent in my outdoor closet and I can barely hear it in the house when it's running. 3. The mixing valve is amazing, it keeps hot water more sterile and increases the capacity of the tank. 4. The app is decent, and allows for Time of Use optimizations. 5. The integrated leak sensor + shutoff valve is something all water heater should come with. I've had it for 4 months now, and I am quietly impressed by how well this water heater works.

It just works! Easy install and efficient

This water heater was easy to hook up of hot and cold, vent the water lines to fill, and just plug it in to our 110v. We had hot water in a few hours. Quiet, sips electricity. The 50 gallon tank handles the three of us on the most efficient turtle heat pump only mode.

Easy install, great product

This was an easy install for my plumber and we are very happy with the product so far. We are using it at max capacity (taking advantage of the mixing valve). We are running it on the 120V circuit and in Hybrid mode. It's very quiet as well, no issues there. We have it in our basement in a small utility room right next to a home office.

Outstanding HPWH with solid features

We were shopping for a heat pump water heater to pair with our upcoming solar and battery project, and none of the other brands checked all the boxes. What really stood out with the GeoSpring was the 120-volt option. That let us replace our old gas water heater and simply plug the new unit into a standard outlet. We later ran a 240-volt circuit using 12/2 wire, but having the 120-volt option made installation effortless. The included Wagos were a nice touch that made wiring quick and clean. I also love that the compressor is variable-speed ™€" it runs efficiently and quietly. The FlexCapacity feature with its internal mixing valve is fantastic. We have a large bathtub that completely overwhelmed our old 40-gallon gas heater, even set to full hot. Our new 50-gallon GeoSpring, with FlexCapacity set to the second-highest level, fills the tub easily. I also appreciate the physical control buttons on the unit ™€" you can change settings or enable Vacation Mode in seconds without opening an app. The leak sensor and automatic shut-off valve add real peace of mind, and the large, easy-to-clean filters make maintenance simple. The internal heat traps clearly work well; the inlet and outlet pipes stay cool to the touch.
