Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Stove top light under microwave

Lynae D 6/26/2025

Has NEVER worked. Since my husband age 81, installed it, he was told to bring it back. It was hard for him to put it in much less take it down to exchange it then put it up again. He told me to "live with it"! So I don't like my microwave. I love the light under the microwave for an evening light, and I don't have it. I'm 75 and this will probably be my last one unfortunately.

Many different settings for all variety of cooking

WWW2026 5/27/2025

Just installed a week ago. Still learning how to use all the settings, so far it works wonderful, the only thing I wish was better if the over the stove light was closer to the front or centered on the bottom of the microwave as it installed over a stove.

Damaged

Evie 3/10/2025

I bought this product about one month ago. Since I previously owned a Whirlpool, the operation was easy. The one complaint I have is it was delivered damaged. There was a large dent in one side. Since that side will be hidden after installation, I decided to keep it. I felt it would be more of a hassle to try to return it, so I decided to keep it anyway.

khlovesJesus 2/15/2025

I bought this Whirlpool after owning my previous Whirlpool microwave for over 20 years. The old one still worked perfectly, but the interior finish was wearing away, so it was time for an upgrade. I find that Whirlpool makes the most reliable appliances of all other brands I have owned and I choose them first.

Like the design & capacity

SALOC 2/7/2025

It's only 4 yrs old, a month ago it no longer heated food & beverages now takes 2 to 3 times longer, too pricey to fix, throw it out. Bought a side by side fridge 2.5 years ago, had to throw it out, no certified Whirlpool Techs in Wyoming. Whirlpool gave 25% off if I bought a new one through whirlpool.com. Bought it on 10/14/ 2024, Day one it was a problem took 6 days to cool to a safe level. 4 months of temperature problems. February 6, 2025, Whirlpool finally found a Whirlpool tech, part has been ordered. I have always bought Whirlpool, now every appliance has been a problem, quality control no longer exists. Very sad your company used to be known as the best. Not the best when I constantly have to replace big ticket items. Problems with both fridges have been documented through the Executive Division..

Dinner plate reheat seems to over cook the food , I find that reheat casserole works best for reheating a food plate , all and all it works just has well has my old whirlpool I replaced , it fit the old holes for the bolts and power cord perfectly , and this was the reason for purchasing the same style. No complaints from me so far .

Microwave works great, it is a replacement for an old one. My only problem is that the light on it is in an odd place. This one lights up the back of the stove and wall. With my old one I was able to see the front burners on the stove, so the light is too far back for me.

Stops heating, do not buy

Katie 8/16/2024

Microwave stopped heating. Only 4 years old. My last microwave (not a Whirlpool) lasted 16-17 years! Whirlpools should last longer.... Not only is a replacement microwave $400, but I have to pay someone $200 to install it. So sad... Single mom with kids at mom and cannot reheat leftovers.... Too hot to use the oven. Too expensive to go out to eat.... Guess we will be eating sandwiches til I can save up a lot of money.... Model WMH32519HZ Serial # TR84561208

Design problem

Not Quite Right 8/16/2024

Not quite right. Tha bottom frame did not fit tight and let light from the main bottom light shine thru a frame opening. Quite disturbing, so a temporary fix was applied the next day, and a new lower frame was ordered and installed with some gasket tape a few weeks later. All is well and satisfactory.

Stevo 8/5/2024

Works like the last model of microwave oven we had for over 15 yrs, very well. While it seems that most appliances have a few item that's fail after that long of time period our old Whirlpool microwave, the hope is that this similar Whirlpool model will last even longer. It just keeps working!

newer isn't better 7/29/2024

I am not pleased that every function is so automated that I must make several choices every time I use it. The Whirlpool this one replaced was so much simpler to operate. Additionally, I don't want to cover dishes with plastic wrap when I reheat. What an environmental waste!

Almost perfect

Loubunyan 7/24/2024

I bought this over the stove microwave oven to replace one (that rhymes with Madvantium) that failed. What I like about my new microwave is the size, it is cavernous inside and easy to clean, it comes with a rack that allows you to stack items inside the oven, the vent is powerful and efficient, the controls are intuitive and easy to clean and the chime is pleasant and not earsplitting. What I don't like is the light that shine down on the stove. It is a bit weak and only illuminates the back burners. This is only a minor complaint and considering everything that I like about this oven, the positives far outweigh the negatives and I do wholeheartedly recommend this product.

Awful

Sandy 7/24/2024

I was misled by my Home Warranty company. Had I known it was the builder's grade and bottom of the line, I would never have approved it. With only 1000 watts there are more cooking limitations than I am used to. I had to have a serviceman back because of rattles and other issues within two weeks of installation. I am very unhappy with this product. If there is a way to upgrade to another model I am interested.

Simple and fast meal perpetration

KISS33 7/23/2024

I bought this whirlpool microwave because we had almost the same model for the last 15 yrs. It was still working well after all that time through a family of four. But after getting a new kitchen it had seen better days as the plastic casing around the control panel was cracking. I mainly use it for warming leftovers and warming up coffee and water for tea. Given that the kids have grown we're making greater use of the microwave for smaller meals. My wife is looking to expand it's use beyond Sweet Potatoes and vegetable. The hope is that meals become quicker to prepare and extend to a greater variety.

We love our new microwave! It™€™s wonderful! It cooks food, heats coffee, pops popcorn perfectly! It™€™s quiet, has a musical song when the food is ready, which is so much nicer than the loud buzzer we had in our old microwave! We bought the same model but it™€™s new and improved! It™€™s quiet, easy to clean and the best appliance we ever bought! Our old one lasted twelve years and we used it many time every day so it™€™s a very reliable microwave! Love the food sensing function. Even though this is rated at a higher power level than the Kenmore Elite this Whirlpool replaced, foods that took 2.5 minutes to heat in the Kenmore need 3 minutes in the Whirlpool. Positive: 1. Much easier installation than the prior Kenmore. 2. Cooks popcorn PERFECTLY! Wish List: Would like to have different color options for the display (to match the stove below - amber)
