So far so good. Other than in having to have this be a replacement for the previous "new" on that didn't work, the handle is on the wrong side. We are dealing with it.

Electronic control is junk! A freezer made without an analog type control is a short timer and you will lose everything. I sell them and I work on them but the advancement into electronic controls will not hold up. Losing $1500.00 in meat and groceries is not fun. And Whirlpool could give a crap less. Their suggestion is to go buy another one.

Great upright freezer

Needed extra freezer space to store bulk items from the warehouse club. This freezer has been working perfectly for our needs. This model is energy star certified which is great because we have it in our garage in South Florida. Super bright interior LED and plenty of shelf space. This model has a fast freeze option for when you put new items in to get it back down to the temperature you need. You won't be disappointed with this freezer.

Good freezer, needs 2 more racks. Extra racks on Amazon are 1/2 the cost of the freezer. We had to buy baskets to keep the food from sliding off.

I have my doubts that this is 16 cubic feet capacity. We had a 16 c/f Kenmore freezer and this holds a lot less.

We have had the freezer for a few weeks now. It is working very well for us. No issues with temperature control. There is plenty of storage in the door as well as the freezer itself. The only negative would be that it could use an extra shelf.

After approx one (1) month of ownership the freezer seems to be working well. The only drawbacks were the missing bottom shelf (not std on this model and not mentioned within the freezer specs) and no pull-out bottom drawer. Needed to cut a closet metal wire shelf section.

After my online purchase, I requested a simple receipt to include amount of transaction and particular date. A person identifying as Michael responded (late) with an excuse. I™™m completely furious about this excuse. How hard can it be for Whirlpool to follow up by sending me my receipt?

I bought my freezer a few weeks ago and love how I am able to purchase food in larger quantities during sales to save money. The freezer has enough side bins in the door and three racks so my food stays organized snd I know what is available snd what I still need to purchase.

Had my freezer for less than 6 months when it sounded like it was getting ready to take off. The noise was so loud n constant. The repairman said he could not find anything wrong but when he took the back panel off he said it looked like the just crumbled up a bunch of copper n stuffed it in the small opening. He moved some of it around n the noise stopped. Now that my warranty just expired its starting the noise again. Trying to get thru on the 800 number is a joke. Not happy at all n pray every day that it doesn't stop working or catch fire.

Bought it in December 2020. I noticed that it was cooling much more than my 20 year old freezer. The seller said that this is normal. At 10 month old the freezer started making a very loud noise intermittently, not a warning noise, more like an old freezer, where the compressor is in the process of dying. The seller again said, that happens, if something touches the vents. Over the next few months the noise got worse and I finally filed a claim through the extended warranty in March 2022. A technician came, checked everything and said some fan is defect. On March 17, 2022 the claim was approved. Unfortunately, the freezer still has not been repaired. I keep e-mailing them and get told there are no parts available and I need to wait 3 weeks. Now the noise is on almost all day long. We can™™t eat in our kitchen nor can we sit in the family room, because the noise is so loud. On top of that, I am afraid, it will stop working sooner than later and all the expensive food will spoil. These companies just don't care after they sell a product, which was crazy expensive in the first place, expect you to buy a new one after a year. DO NOT BUY!

I have been waiting for a long time to be able to buy a freezer. This freezer is beautiful. It came in with no damage and the inside has so much space. So far it is working so well, no ice buildup, just an even freeze throughout the whole unit. Very pleased! Would definitely buy again. I have never been disappointed by anything with the Whirlpool brand on it.

This unit is replacing another older refrigerator. Seems that reliability for the compressors have been an issue with newer units. Hope they figured out what was causing the problem because I can't spend another 1K replacing or fixing it. It's American made so that's a plus for me. Gotta support your local business whenever possible...

Bought this to replace an old chest deep freeze. So glad I updated. Looks nice, not to big and works well. Only issue I have is that it needs at least one more shelf. Two would be better but one would work. Extra shelves are about $130 for the wide ones.

Purchased 11.2 18 @ Lowes. Then 12.13.19 running but ALL contents defrosting. Truly felt safe, an ext. warranty wasn't needed. Freezers maintained & placed proper should last 12 -16 years. ?People make purchases already "loving" the product.Thats why you buy it ?!! -So... RECENT reviews don't mean too much . Reviews after 12 months please??!! I havereview when "gotta have it" -OR- BUYER BEWARE!! This model FREEZER est. 16 cu ft =absolute WASTE money!! I'm willing to bet if WHIRLPOOL solicited for reviews AFTER the "1 yr (read fine print...) warranty" is up , consumers would be shocked. So tired of fine print & JUNK!! Enough already! We have a wireless temperature monitor/alarm in use on this freezer, which saved us hundreds of dollars in lost food as we caught it in time, before the thaw.
The appliance repairman diagnosed it quickly to the (bad) evaporator fan not moving enough air across the coils. He had to order one and will replace it 8-25-20. Don't know the cost of that yet, but two years is too short of a life. I should have taken the 5 yr warranty option, as the Whirlpool warranty is only 1 yr. Up until this, the freezer worked fine and we were very happy with it.

We purchased this freezer a few years ago to hold extra frozen goods for our family of 6. It has been a life-saver having more frozen food storage space. It is designed well and holds a LOT of food. So far we have not experienced any issues and our foods remain frozen. I like the interior design with the door shelves for frozen veggies and the main shelves we store frozen meats. Just perfect for us!

I am really liking this freezer. It is no bigger than my old one but the shelving is better spaced and the bottom shelf pulls out!!!! It has a LIGHT!!! WooHoo I can actually now find what I am looking for. I also real;y like being able to lock it as well. At this point the alarm has not gone off that the door has been left open and of course that is a GOOD thing but it is a nice feature to have for that oops moment if it does get left open
