But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Great Oven

Our oven has been installed for only a month, so we haven't had a chance to do much baking with it. We love the side opening door, as the oven is mounted below the counter. Overall, the construction is very good, and the controls are easy to use. However, with the oven mounted below the counter, the controls seem to be too sensitive. It is very easy to brush across the controls and activate functions when working at the counter. This causes a beep and either the oven light turning on or some function waiting at a prompt for more information. So we have to keep the childproof lock turned on. Unfortunately, this leaves the display panel with a locked icon in red, but also leaves "PANEL LOCKED" in big letters below the clock display. Please give us an option to have this display notice turn off after a few seconds, and turn on again only when any button is pressed. This would be more consistent with the way the 800 series cooktop works and preserve the clean look of the oven with only the clock showing while it is not in use.
