It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

My husband and I are completely dissatisfied with our purchase of a ThinkQ dryer from LG. We purchased our dryer in October of 2023. It has never properly dried our clothes and in particular our towels. A complete disaster. I have contacted LG on numerous occasions and have suffered through three major repairs. I have asked for a replacement but have been told there is a process. Yes The process is Not consumer based but rather abusive of our good faith purchase. Apparently LG does not care Still waiting for a solution. I wont hold old my breath. Do not purchase a LG dryer you will never have dry laundry again. If I could have given a zero star review I would have.

Poor performance.

I bought this dryer over 1 years ago and it worked perfectly for our situation. Then as the months went by we noticed that towels were not drying as well. It would sometimes take all day to dry a few towels. After attempting to get it serviced through LG we found there were no service providers that serviced our area or who would attempt to. We hope LG looks into this issue and provides a solution to the problem or a new heat pump model that works properly. Our matching washer work real well for us.

I bought this dryer about 18 months ago and it dried clothes ok at first. As time went on the drying time increased especially towels. I have tried a combination of drying cycle choices with no luck. Then I sought help from LG and my Allstate extended warranty through Home Depot. LG and Allstate provided me with repair companies in my area and none of them serviced my LG dryer or did not work on this ventless model. So Allstate reimbursed me for the cost of the dryer but this does not resolve my issue of not having a dryer. My newly remodeled kitchen is set up for a ventless dryer that is this size. So changing to a full size one is not possible. There should be changes or solutions made for this model dryer or a new design for customers who have had this issue. But this model should not be continued to be sold. My matching washer is working very well and I am completely satisfied with it.

Really love this dryer. I needed a ventless dryer that would fit under the counter and there arent very many options. LGs good reputation with laundry appliances is ultimately what influenced my decision to go with this unit and the matching washer. Most of my loads take 1.5 hours whether thats a mixed load towels or bedding. Very rarely I might have a load take 2+ hours like thicker bedding or new towels that still have a lot of lint. I have it connected to the drain line so the only maintenance is cleaning the filter. I wipe it down with a microfiber rag after every load to keep the load cycle times down. Otherwise just doing a hand wipe will cause a thin film of lint to build up on the filter which will increase the cycle times. I have one gripe though - the top of filter catches drawstrings or similar shaped items and if they stay lodged they will twist for a long time and I get some gnarly curls like someone took a curling iron to it. I get around it by making sure they are tied up enough such that they arent long enough to get caught. The dryer comes with a rack dry cycle and the manual says that the rack has to be purchased separately. However theres no mention anywhere of the model number and even LG support couldnt tell me - they were just looking at all the same documents that I did. They referred me to third party parts distributors all of which didnt have the part listed with the dryer. Unacceptable LG. I ended up looking up the equivalent dryer in the European market to find the model number of the rack. Those dryers apparently ship with the rack included. Also unacceptable LG. The model number is 3751EL1002M. Im definitely a happy camper with this dryer and definitely recommend it. The rack is also worth getting.
