I am going on 6 months with this piece of machine. Here are my biggest problems with it. It is EXTREMELY LOUD. Though they do advertise its very quiet. Its not. I promise. I can deal with the constant noise if its constant. But it changes noise. It gets loud quiet or it makes weird noises. Like its about to give up. Second the pieces are not avail. You have to look no one knows how to fix them. The instructions manual do not mention ANYTHING about maintenance. Or what type of coolant it uses. When I bought it I clearly stated and asked what the maintenance was and they told me I didnt have to just to clean the filters.

I like this unit because Of the easy installation. We use it to cool down our bedroom before we go to sleep. We also like that it uses the latest refrigerant for better efficiency. We are very happy with our LG portable a/c.

I purchased this just for my tent for camping. I did one small cut in my tent for the exhaust. Simple set up and it works great. Before my tent was like an oven during the day This unit cools it great. Can now enjoy my time in it no matter how hot it is outside.

I bought this portable A/C for a remote area in my house I thought I could run this A/C in the room while working on my PC but I was disappointed from the high noise when it was running a low speed.
I called the customer service and I was told there nothing it can be done to lower the high
noise. I think I will return it to the store.

I purchased this unit last May 2022. It was fantastic cools the room quick and wasnt very loud we unplugged the unit in Nov. and it sat until a few weeks ago we plugged it back in and NOTHING : the light comes on at the plug but nothing on the board. LG customer service rep was a nightmare but we did get a refund for the unit. I love LG products and will continue to purchase them. This model unit however I will not be..

I bought this for my upstairs room. It was really easy to put in. While it can be moved around some the best position is when the hose is straight as possible. Thus it needs to be very near the window you use to exhaust it out of.

Bought it as a stopgap while my AC was fixed and it worked great for a room with 4 people in it. Very nice finish and quality on the AC UNIT itself the hose that leads to the outside and the window plate could be improved.

I bought this because my apt doesnt allow for traditional window units so I researched all of the portable AC options and found this one to be the best deal with the best reviews. It seems the reviews I read are correct because ever since I bought it Ive had very few issues. Its very sleek and powerful for the most part. Sometimes when its really hot during the day it doesnt work as well as it does at night but Im dealing with LA heat in the dead of summer. Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a portable AC.

We received our LG portable A/C unit as a gift. A close friend of mine came to the rescue with it when he heard our central air unit was on the fritz. The unit was so easy to setup and use simply amazing and the versatility and ease of moving it from room to room was equally amazing. It was truly one of the most appreciated gifts ever. Our A/C is now repaired however we still use and appreciate our LG as it cools an upstairs room on the far side of the house that the central unit can never seem to do. I would be remiss if I didnt mention how quite the unit is just a pleasant hum as I fell asleep. My wife bailed and stayed with her mother best nights sleep in years

I bought this to cool off a bedroom that is about 190 square feet. My goal is not to get the room icy cold so I cant speak to that. I run it for 15-30 minutes and it will take the temperature down a few degrees however I find it to be too noisy to sleep with it on. I cant speak to how the timer works since it uses hour increments and I havent left it on that long. On the plus side it was a good price and was easy enough to set up far easier than a traditional window unit. I also liked being able to turn off the display lights. On the downside the exhaust hose does get hot. The window set up isnt as sturdy as it could be and the panel is uninsulated so doesnt totally keep the heat from outside out. I used some additional foam to help wedge the panel in place and take it out of the window during the day when I dont use it. A person could probably enhance the panel by adding some insulation just make sure to be mindful of how hot the hose gets when selecting materials for that. Overall it was a better solution for me than installing central air.

It is doing a great job of keeping my large bedroom/bathroom complex cool Purchased through Home Depot online during a heat wave in the NW. Heavy and awkward to carry upstairs I would not recommend this plan to petite balance challenged or out-of-shape people. It was relatively easy to install the vent in my large sliding windows. It needs to be near the window and as such may be in the way as a large box unit will be. It cools off the space quickly even in humid weather. I can leave it off during the day and turn it on a few hours before bed for cool comfort through the night. It is noisy but in a white noise way. Temperature setting seems acurate it turns the cooling unit off and on as it reaches the temperature chosen while leaving the fan on. Timer setting fan only dehumidify only and lights off settings also nice features.

I bought 2 of the same model and used them to cool an area about 900 sq feet. We were comfortable even with temperatures in the upper nineties. The units perform well and I am thoroughly satisfied with their performance.

I recieved this as a gift. I would not buy another 1. I thought my Son in law had it on high when he hooked it up for me but it was never really cooling. I put the temperature down 1 day and realized it was on low. I put it on high and it made a very loud noise on this setting. I called the 800# to see what was wrong. The girl I talked to said it must be the compressor and to give a proof of purchase for a refund.

My LG stand alone AC unit stopped outputting cold air just after a few days of use. Called support and they first said they would send a technician to repair it. When I called to check on when the technician would arrive the support person said that they dont do in-home repairs but would refund me the money. I sent a copy of the receipt as directed but havent received anything. Its been over a week since they said they would refund me the money.

I needed to buy something quick because my home central air was not working right and my repair appointment wasnt until the following week. This unit got me through some HOT days I was able to sleep at night Its very efficient. Although its rated for 15 amps it only draws 10.4 amps I like it so much that I decided to leave it installed in the room. But I absolutely love how portable it is. I have been wanting this kind of air conditioner since I first saw them. We only have one window in our bedroom and every summer we had to keep a big clunky air conditioner in the window never to open up to fresh air all season. I am so happy with the portability with this air conditioner. It is literally seconds to remove the tubing and framing from the window to open when the weather is mild. When it is hot as blazes this unit can cool down our bedroom in a matter of a minute or two. Another great feature is that the blades are at the top of the unit which means that the cold air is not blasting on us at bed level. Were very happy with this air conditioner and would recommend it whole heartedly

It cools down my bedroom nicely but doesnt shut off at the desired temperature. It is set to cool at 67 degrees but will stay on all night and get down into the high 50s. I like it cool but not that much.

Unit cools the room effectively. Room size is approximately half the ACs capacity. Setpoint is held only after product has cooled room to 66F and maintained for several hours. Each day as heat increases outside unit will repeat its behavior and cool to 66F.

I bought this recently as our son and wife were coming for a visit. I bought a window unit but because I had replacement windows it involved a lot of modifying to make it work. This way it was as simple as ABC. Simple installation kit for the window connected. to the A/C unit and bingo: success. Works extremely well. Cools more than sufficiently. Very satisfied. LG lives up to its reputation.

I recieved this about 2 weeks ago and it doesnt cool to the lowest temperature as stated in the panel .. it runs cool and then switches to warm air .. ive done all the troubleshooting tips and still have issues.. my room which is small is still 85 degrees..very disappointing.. an expensive problem..
