I bought this model for the oversized tub for large loads and all the steam cycles such as sanitary/allergience. I have had periodic problems with leaking water on the floor ever since I first got it. I had a repair person out three times to try to fix the leaking issue. It was determined it it a design flaw. During the steam cycles there is a lot of water/steam condensation buildup on the lid that can drip down the front and also down the back where you cant see it. The water dripping down the back eventually drips on the floor underneath the machine and then creates a puddle. I ended up buying a drip pan to put under the washer and stopped using any of the steam cycles. Very unhappy with this purchase.

What I love about this washer is that at 5.5 cubic feet it can wash anything size-wise. The problem is it does not wash big loads very well even if set to Water Plus. Another drawback is the Pre-Wash cycle requires you to add laundry detergent AFTER it finishes the pre-wash. So you must be present or your main cycle will have no soap. Essentially not very economical you need a lot of water and time to get clean clothes. Ive loved LG in the past but I am disappointed in this top loader The sales person told me the top loaders tjese days were getting clothes as clean as the front loaders because of the new and improved agitation process. I came from having a front loader and would highly recommend those I have had this unit for a year now and am planning on getting rid of it to go back to a front loading washer.

I am disappointed in the washer. I owned a Bosch washer for 15 years that had a delicate plus a handwash cycle. This washer does not have a hand wash cycle and its delicate cycle is not as delicate as I would like with my fine clothes. I have to use mesh bags to protect the garments.

I tried to return it but they wont take it back. This washing machine is the worst. Since day one it has caused the LED lights in my house to blink when the agitator changes direction. The service representative that came said that there was nothing wrong with the unit and that I should replace all the LED lights in my brand new house. After much research I decided on this washer. All the reviews said it was the best and it is. It literally has a cycle for everything. 15 to start with and then through the download a cycle function in the app I can add cycles for specific things like pet laundry etc. Very adaptable. Connecting it to the internet/app when it was installed was pretty painless. And having notifications when it is done saves on a lot of checking. Clothes come out very. Cycles run anywhere from 3 1/2 hours allergenic to 28 minutes quick wash. The capacity is amazing I can toss an entire weeks laundry in there and it still looks pretty empty. Now center agitator makes a big difference indeed. Very quiet super smooth. All in all I cant even imagine a better washer.

Smart WIFI appliance isnt so smart. It doesnt allow for special characters only alphanumeric for WIFI Network name and password. Its a hit or miss if it accepts them. The WIFI is also not stable so unplugging the washer means you may have to add it to your WIFI network and the LG app again.

I have always had LG appliances. When I needed a new washer it was time to size up to max capacity. I would have preferred front loading like I had but there werent any front load with this capacity so I guess I settled. I was concerned about the fact that there was no agitator but thought that would be great for our king size sheets. However not only do the sheets come out still dirty they come out DRY in some places. How can the load get clean when it isnt fully submersed in water I paid a lot of money for this washer have never been more disappointed in a product. Its not just the bedding nothing comes out clean. The whole family has noticed. I wish I could get rid of it but it was too expensive I havent had it long enough to replace.

My washer has a crack in the plastic surround of the control panel after only 3 months of use. Nothing bumped the machine so I am thinking the hairline fracture was always there and it is just now big enough to be noticeable. I called LG and they told me that they were only responsible for the mechanical part of the washer and to call the store that I purchased it from. The store said that they were not responsible and to call LG. After a few times of going back-and-forth I have finally given up But will never buy another LG appliance. A purchase this big should hold up longer than three months

Never have we had a washing machine that works as poor as this one. I have been in touch with service several times since we got it in Fall 2023. First marks were left on clothing. I was advised to do a clean cycle 3 times. That cycle involves filling the tub to the top with hot water and putting it through the whole cycle with no clothes in it. 3 times So much for water efficiency. It did not correct the problem either. Then I noticed some of the top clothes were not even wet after the wash cycle when you choose a cycle that determines the water level. It doesnt add enough water. I found the only way to correct this was to use the Deep Fill option. Again so much for water efficiency. The last straw was today the deep fill cycle kept cycling. I had to manually shut it off. Then back on it did spin but again I had to turn it off. No idea what will be next. I have been keeping house for 50 years and never had to clean cycle a washing machine or worry about clothes getting wet enough to be clean. This product is a huge disappointment and we may replace this appliance not even a year old. At least the LG dryer works fine.

From the start this new washer hasnt worked properly. It uses up to 4x more water than any other washer Ive used in the last 50 years so much water that when it drains it has flooded my basement several times. Due to the washer my overall water usage went up 40. For 4 items in the bottom of the tub the washer fills the entire tub full of water to wash and rinse them. Put in a full load and the washer fills just 5 of water to wash it and 1/2 to a full tub to rinse. Getting help from LG is difficult many calls and emails to them 2 service techs came out replaced the control boards made no difference. LG sends contractors you cant reach to coordinate scheduling so further attempts at help from LG went nowhere. Dealer also sent repair replaced pressure sensor still didnt fix the water level problem and now it skips cycles sometimes. Completely under warrantee and LG has been dragging their feet for weeks to refund me on it so I can replace it with something that works and doesnt require me running to the basement every 10 minutes to check on what its doing flooding? skipping cycles? or run additional cycles.

I love the way my new top loader washes. It doesnt tangle my clothes as much as my old front loader did. It also doesnt walk around the laundry room when it spins like my old machine. I can also get my wash as clean in less time. My only complaint is that I have leftover water to the top of the detergent and water softener bins when the wash is done. It is difficult to get the detergent drawer out so the left over water spills into the tub. Im getting better at removing the drawer so the amount of water spilled is not as much as it was. A shame the engineers didnt figure out a way to siphon all the water out or make the drawer easier to get out. Its annoying but not enough to not love the machine.

I bought this model less than a year ago and needed to get it serviced once. Unfortunately there is no filter to capture any loose fabric or paper that accidentally is left in the pockets. So the machines drainage became clogged and stopped working properly. Thankfully the customer service of LG was so very helpful and dispatched a service technician quickly to resolve the issue under warranty. Now the machine is back to working like new. Thank you

If there would be a no star option I would do that I bought this machine and it didnt get my clothing clean ever. The first technician that came told me that they started making this machine with plastic behind the tub and it traps all the detergent and therefore my clothing doesnt get clean and not only that usually its full of lint and also very creased

I purchased this washing machine as well as that dryer that goes with this duo however this is the second washer that I have had delivered and its still not working. Its been approximately six weeks that Ive been messing around with us washer because there apparently was an issue between LG and Home Depot about delivery but I had nothing to do with yet. I was the one that had to wait weeks before I could get another washer. The second washer was just delivered Friday. I tried to do a load of laundry Earlier this evening and the tub begin grinding again. Based on LG lack of wanting to make the first order right I went ahead and purchased a warranty with Home Depot. Ill call them tomorrow and see if they can get this situation straightened out.

It is a beautiful machine My husband loves it as do I The tub of the machine is huge I was able to wash my king size blanket along with the sheets and pillowcases. I was so surprised. It washed my husband and I laundry quickly with one load. About 2 weeks of laundry. Then my son came over and washed all his laundry. It also has an Allergiene mode its so wonderful to have so many options. I havent use the WiFi on the washer yet but I plan to very soon. Love that this is a top loader and has a safety lock

So disappointed in this washer. We have had it less than a year and in that time we have had 3 major parts replaced. The clutch is gone the wash plate quit and the pump also quit. We paid major $$$ for this set and never expected a brand new appliance to need this work. We definitely got a lemon. We would never recommend this to anyone looking to buy.

Please do not buy this washer. I have had it for a year now and it has ruined so many of our clothes. I washed a brand new set of sheets in it and it created a huge hole in the middle. It has shredded the sides of towels ripped holes in my jeans ruined my kids pajamas and ripped holes in at least three bedsheets. I have called LG at least three times and they have offered no help. I now wash everything on the delicate cycle but just this morning I saw new holes in some pajamas of mine. It is a terrible washing machine and I am so disappointed by it. I will never buy another LG appliance because of the lack of customer service and the costs we have incurred because it is ruining all of our clothes and sheets.

We bought ours less than 10 months ago and are already having problems. It intermittingly will not power up. The worst part is trying to get service. It is so far impossible. We cant get anyone to respond to our request for service.

First LG purchase. Washing machine threw a code making it inoperable... it was brand new out of the box just installed... moments before I tried to do my first wash. Unable to do even a single wash due to code thrown. Inconvenient. Unreliable machine. Awaiting weeks now for replacement. My LG experience thus far...quality reliability installation...not good. Dont recommend. Will update when and if I am able to use it. Im not eager to wash clothes but it is one of lifes necessary things to do waiting weeks in hopes the new replacement actually functions correctly is not something i look forward to because if not what then? Need a reliable machine and this is not it.
