highly disappointed with this model purchase.. dryer failed to heat in second usage ... contacted samsung tech and when he visited he mentioned that gas ignition is faulty and failed... just used once after the delivery and installation day,.. spent around $1000 (with extended warranty) for a junk product.. having stress after making multiple calls and reports to bestbuy and samsung..

Love the Steam Function!

I have purchased this same type of Samsung Dryer with Steam 4 times now (each time because I moved and needed to switch from gas, to electric, back to gas, and now back to electric). So that in and of itself should speak volumes about how great I think this dryer is! I love the steam function and that's really what keeps me coming back. If I forget to use the wrinkle guard, or leave clothes sitting in the dryer for too long, I can simply throw a dryer sheet in, run it through the steam cycle, and voila! 15 minutes later I've got fresh wrinkle-free clothes. I also use this to spruce up clothes after unpacking them from a suitcase, or if they have become wrinkled in storage. It's such a great feature!

I have been using this for eight months now. It's relatively easy to use, My only frustration with it is that it doesn't always dry everything in the cycle. I make sure not to overload the dryer. I was under the impression that it had a sensor in it-maybe not.

This dryer makes it easy. The multiple options and settings along with the spacious 7.4 cubic foot stainless steel drum can handle any size load. The five temperature settings and multi venting system are excellent features. You can use either the steam or sensor drying features and it is heavy duty, yet safe for delicates. Wrinkle prevent and eco dry are included, the unit even has a drum light! It us energy star rated and removes 99.9% of germs, 95% of pollen, 100% of dust mites and wrinkles, static, and odors. Sensors monitor the vents to prevent blockage and will shut off the unit automatically when clothes are dry. Using Smartcare allows you to troubleshoot issues from your Smartphone.

My wife is so happy with this dryer and so am I! I have to say that my favorite feature is the "Refresh" steam setting. My wife always gives me a hard time about wearing wrinkly clothes when we go out, but I absolutely hate ironing and end up with a pile of wrinkly clothes I am not allowed to wear. Now I can throw my wrinkle polo into the dryer, put it on Refresh and it will be wrinkle free in 15 minutes. I think this has saved our marriage. I also like that there is a drum light and that it has a digital interface. Only thing that would make it better would be if it was wi-fi enabled and I could get notifications when clothes are dry or if there is an error that needs to be addressed.

First, I love this dryer and Samsung generally for their energy efficiency. I am very impressed the variety in setting options. Prior to owning this dryer, I was timid to used dryers due to the possibility of clothes shrinking. I am happy to report this dryer does NOT shrink clothes. This dryer has 'Sensor Dry" technology that doesn't overheat your clothes and allows for smart drying-- which means you don't have to go back and keep checking if your clothes are dry. The most technologically advanced setting, the stream sanitize, gets rid of dustmites and other germs, which is great for those who suffer from indoor allergies! As for the dryer's design, it is very sleek and has an adjustable door- which allows you to modify the direction the door is opened to fit your needs. Also, thank you to Samsung for making this dryer ADA compliant. I am giving this 4 stars out of 5, due to the size of the machine. It is quiet large- make sure you can fit these appliances in your laundry room- 7.4 cu is a large and powerful size!

This dryer replaced our previous aging unit. Install and setup were completed by the delivery company except for the gas connection. I swapped the door opening direction, which was quick and easy by following the directions. The dryer has a very large capacity and has multiple automatic drying options as well as timed drying. I appreciate the internal drum light which makes it easier to gather up all the dried clothes. It has a very large lint screen is easy to remove and clean. Quiet, efficient and fast drying!

A Dryer That Makes My Life Easier in Many Ways

I have no idea why I waited so long to bite the bullet and purchase a new dryer. After an extensive review of other products, I finally chose Samsung's dryer and I couldn't be happier! The control panel is easy to use. You simply turn the dial to choose your cycle, and then you can adjust to 5 different levels of dryness, temperature, and time if desired. I must preface the rest of my review by saying that I hate having to iron and steam my work clothes more than anything else in life. This dryer has numerous settings that take away wrinkles and have made my life a lot easier! First, on the control panel, there is a wrinkle prevent option which provides 180 minutes of intermittent tumbling in unheated air to reduce wrinkling. There are also 3 different options for steam cycles. During refresh cycles, the dryer sprays water into the drum to reduce wrinkles. It's hard to believe I used to put a wet towel in my old dryer to try to reduce wrinkles, which never worked as well as this cycle! I no longer have to use my handheld steamer for my work shirts with this option. This is a huge time saver for me. There is also steam sanitize option which I've been using for the dog's blankets. It applies steam and high-temperature heat to the fabric which has been successful in reducing odors and keeping his blankets soft. Lastly, there is also a damp alert. This light on the control panel blinks when the load is approximately 80% dry. This is helpful for those items I don't want fully dried and I can pull them to finish drying on my rack. It also works for clothes that dry quicker than others so they can be pulled out early while letting other items to continue to dry. A nice option I noticed today is Eco dry. If this is pressed, drying may take longer but the power consumption is reduced. Lastly, I have not purchased this yet but there is a rack dry option. This a drying rack that inserts inside the tumbler. Those sweaters that take forever to dry flat can be placed on this rack for safe drying or it can be used to stuffed animals and sneakers. Not only does the Samsung dryer have numerous options to make your life easier through wrinkle-free cycles, but it also a very attractive appliance and has helped completely update my laundry room. I highly recommend this dryer!

Everything a Dryer Should Be...and More

We do laundry almost every day in our house, and any dryer we buy must be able to handle the heavy workload, be feature-rich, look great, be energy efficient, and most importantly, operate quietly. After reviewing many other dryers, we found the Samsung DV7200 to fit all of our needs, and we could not be happier with our purchase, as it meets all requirements and has well exceeded our expectations. The DV7200's many advanced features and dryness, temperature, and time settings make our lives easier, especially the Steam Sanitize+ cycle, which we have already found ourselves using quite often. Goodbye Iron!

I have been using this dryer for almost 2 weeks now and it is the best appliance ever. I have never used a dryer this nice before. The basics are self-explanatory but to get the most out of the dryer and use it to the best of its abilities you really need to read the manual. It explains all the settings, what they are best used for, provides tips, and explains error codes. The manual is very easy to understand too. It has a large capacity, but it is best not to overfill it. I am so glad that I got the Steam Sanitize functionality! I absolutely hate ironing and I have clothes I don't wear because I don't have the will or the time to iron them. No Longer! I toss 3-4 items in here and put it on Refresh (which adds a bit of cold water and steams the clothes) and it is done and wrinkle free in 15 minutes! It is so quick and efficient that I can toss the items in while I'm getting ready for work and it will be done in no time! (honestly all the steam cycles are my fav) Steam Sanitize is amazing, I use it on things I want to be sure are clean and disinfected (like our bathroom rugs and all our towels, if a child has an accident on the bedding) The items come out smelling and looking so clean and fresh. Normal dry will automatically turn on Eco Mode, which is great but if you are in a hurry it can be unselected. Some settings dry based on the sensors "dryness" which is great for items you need to dry on a low heat and down want them getting too hot. I didn't feel this worked well for my pillows though as the outside appeared and felt dry but they were still damp inside, so I recommend adding time dry for those items. If you try to run it again on a dryness cycle it will still detect it is dry and stop the dryer. The Wrinkle Prevent function is very helpful in preventing wrinkles (surprise, surprise) After the dry cycle is done it will continue to intermittently spin the clothes so they don't sit and get wrinkled. It really helps if you are tend to forget about your laundry. The drum light is a very cool feature. I love that the door is see through and you can easily check on your load. The dryer lint tray is interesting and catches lint very well. So many options!

I love the many options that this dryer offers. I mainly love the large capacity and how it pretty much fits everything. There are options that I haven't used yet, but know that I will need to some day and I am happy that I will have the ability to do so. I mainly use the "normal" option and I noticed the same thing on the dryer that I did on the washer. My dry time is longer than it was on my other dryer, but it's also drying probably more than double the amount of laundry. My kids are able to understand and use the dryer too, so that is a bonus!

I am so pleased with this dryer. It has so many dry options which helps when your going from a load of towels to a small load of clothes and everything comes out soft and dry. You have the option to use the Steam Sanitize option which helps keep clothes straight and not wrinkled. The run time is very quick which is great when your on the go! The sensor dry option has been great since my old dryer left half my clothes still wet, especially the larger loads, but with the sensor not one item has been wet!

Great dryer with lots of features

At first I was very intimidated by the amount of features that this dryer has but after using it a few times I can officially say that I find a use for all of them. The best feature this dryer offers is the "wrinkle prevent" feature as I am guilty of always leaving my laundry in the dryer for long periods of time so this helps with the constant heatless spinning to keep them from getting wrinkles. Also I never knew having a steam dryer could be so useful! I love how using the steam sanitize cycle has made my clothes feel extremely soft as well as removes allergens which has helped tremendously with my bad allergy problems. This dryer is loaded with great features and has made what used to be one of the most annoying chores to do now into one of the best. Bonus points for how quiet it is as I never knew a dryer could make so little noise.

Finally clothes dried

A dryer is supposed to dry your clothes and not mess them up. No tears or pulls on the clothes. This thing is HUGE compared to what we had before. Taller and couples inches wider so make a difference with tumbling the clothes. The feature like a no wrinkle button on a dry works and it does to keeps clothes perfect when cotton can get so wrinkled. The larger size helps break the clothes up to get them all dried and done. Never thought I could use the word perfect for how clothes would come out but I tell yes perfect. I am impressed with the heat control and nice and quiet. Very easy to select what type of clothes and how long you want them to come out then it just does it. Funky little music when all is done. Okay thought why a light but heck no missing a sock or anything when taking clothes out. Then a window sure helps you look in and see that things are moving great. Not used the steam feature as something we do not need at this time. Overall so happy with a new dryer that is easy and gives you dried perfect clothes.

Great dryer with great features

I have been loving this dryer since the first time I used it. At first I was very nervous to shrink my clothes as there are so many options to choose from but after the first couple uses I've gotten the hang of it. The steam sanitize cycle on this dryer Is unbelievable how well it works. I run a car wash and after using the same shirts for 2 years the locked in odor that was forming was getting almost unbearable to work in. I figured I'd test out the steam sanitize cycle with my work shirts and they came out feeling and smelling like they have never been worn. Really a great substitute for dry cleaning if you don't have days to leave your clothes with someone else to clean them. The damp alert feature: this will alert you when the load is 80% dry so you can take out heat sensitive items to line dry and let the rest of the load continue to dry and I love that you can customize exactly how much time you want the dryer to be on for by using the "adjust time" buttons on the dryer. I also love how no matter the size of the load I have put in everything has always come out fully dry after just one dry cycle. Great machine for a great price from a great company. Thanks Samsung!

I love this dryer! I think Samsung did a good job, so far I am impressed in how fast and how little gas uses is very quiet and has lots of options the finished is smooth and shiny and very easy to clean I like how you can tweak every setting like dryness level and temperature also you have to try the steam sanitize function, leaves my clothes so clean and wrinkle free the inside feel enormous and the lint trap compartment is really easy to clean overall very happy with the purchase

Very fast drying!

I was searching for an upgrade for my dryer, and this was the best decision I have ever made! This dryer has so many useful options! My absolute favorite is the Steam Sanitize because I am able to reduce wrinkles without having to iron. It has cut my drying time in half from my old one, which allows me to get more laundry loads done so much quicker! It also has a very sleek and stylish look that matches any decor!

Great dryer with great features

I have been loving this dryer since the first time I used it. At first I was very nervous to shrink my clothes as there are so many options to choose from but after the first couple uses I've gotten the hang of it. The steam sanitize cycle on this dryer Is unbelievable how well it works. I run a car wash and after using the same shirts for 2 years the locked in odor that was forming was getting almost unbearable to work in. I figured I'd test out the steam sanitize cycle with my work shirts and they came out feeling and smelling like they have never been worn. Really a great substitute for dry cleaning if you don't have days to leave your clothes with someone else to clean them. Impressive Energy Efficient Dryer

This Samsung Gas Dryer with Steam Sanitize is a wonderful addition to the home. The design, although a bit large, is very sleek looking and maintains ADA compliance. The ease of use is wonderful, there are so many great setting to choose from. My favorite is the sensor dry, which allows for your clothes to dry without overheating them. I also like the steam sanitize feature that gets rid of allergens.

Pretty and gets the job done

It was a breeze to install took me about 20 minutes from unpacking, hooking up the gas line and the vent and I was ready to go! The controls are easy to use and self explanatory Sensor dry function is really convenient, i first used heavy duty with a regular load and the dryer stopped by itself before the time was up I can see my utilities bills going down already! The tech on it is pretty cool, besides the main modes (normal, heavy duty, refresh etc.) you can adjust a little more or less time with the touch dials Overall feels very sturdy and well designed
